The Super Fun Activities Club is a sports and social club that brings fun people together around sporting and social events. SFAC is redefining fun in Rhode Island, which included a local night out with some Rhode Island curling! We are a new and fun way to network and interact with friends and future friends while getting exercise. SFAC offers dodgeball, volleyball, GLOW In The Dark Sports, flag football, kickball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, softball and many more sports. SFAC hosts Adult Egg Hunts, Sunday FUNday Beach Parties with Beach Dodgeball Tournaments, Pumpkinpalooza, Laser Tag, and Chubby Bunny Food Tastings. A little more about Rhode Island Curling
The Super Fun Activities Club is Unique and Original
Many people have often had the thought (most likely while watching the Olympics) “I’d like to try curling.” We fall into that category as well. So we did something about it. In January of 2016, SFAC organized a group of fun adults to get out and try curling. Fortunately for us, there is a facility located in Cranston, RI with a Learn to Curl program through Ocean State Curling. This is an introductory 2 hour course to teach interested parties the history of curling, the rules of the game, how it’s scored, and some on ice time. SFAC was able to cross curling off the bucket list!
In true SFAC fashion, the night wasn’t just a singular activity. Like all things SFAC, there’s always an after party! After we went curling, we wen to eat and drink at Fat Belly’s in Warwick, RI. And if that wasn’t enough, we followed that with a trip to Mardi Gras. We even got to see Mark the Bartender (a staple at Mardi Gras for over 30 years) and Run For Covers (with Dave Fazzina of Boneheads Wing Bar). We are almost 100% positive that we are the only people to ever to go curling, eat at Fat Belly’s AND go to Mardi Gras in the same evening. And with the announcement that Mardi Gras is closing it’s doors, it’s a record that will never be tied or broken.
SFAC Social Sports & Social Events are For Fun People Only
If you think this night of curling, eating wings, and drinking while watching live music sounds like a good time, then you should get involved with the Super Fun Activities Club. SFAC is not for everybody. We are For Fun People Only and we mean it! If you don’t play well with others, go play somewhere else! If you are the person that tries way too hard or cares way too much, go somewhere else! If you are silly and fun and love meeting new friends, SFAC is the place for you!
Super Fun Activities Club’s sports leagues are comprised of coworkers, friends, strangers and everything in between. Some teams sign up as a whole unit. Other social sports teams in our Rhode Island adult sports leagues are formed from individuals looking to meet new friends. Looking for something fun to do with your coworkers to do outside of the work environment? Signing up for an SFAC Social Sports league is great idea! Teams are co-ed, and games like dodgeball, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, kickball and flag football are offered throughout the year. Haven’t learned enough about SFAC yet?
