A little more about Volleyball RI.

Rhode Island is one of the best places for sports enthusiasts to indulge their love of volleyball. Abounding in great sporting facilities, public parks and beaches, RI provides volleyball fans with the opportunity to play their favorite game to polish up on their skills and meet likeminded people on the court. A relatively small state, RI’s compact geography means that sporting facilities are within easy reach via public transportation or private car, making it easy for people who love to play volleyball to find a venue quickly. Outdoorsy types can get access to a wide range of sporting activities by joining the Super Fun Activities Club, a social sports and activities club based in Providence, RI.

Playing Volleyball RI is a great way to get in shape while taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings and meeting new people. Take part in some of SFAC’s most popular events such as the Beach Sports and GLOW in the dark sports where you can compete against talented members, win special prizes and hopefully make a friend or two.  Beach Volleyball takes part on Scarborough Beach and Goddard Park and gives SFAC members a chance to frolic in the sand and take a dip in the blue waters after the match. Indoor matches take part on multiple days during the week and give members a chance to let off some steam after work, in addition to providing much needed exercise after hours in a cubicle or other stationery position. Tuesday night volleyball also provides the opportunity for people who haven’t picked up volleyball since they were a child to practice their skills again and hopefully bring them up to par as soon as possible.  And if not, at least they are having fun!  GLOW in the dark Volleyball allows you to let your inner child out while having an incredible amount of fun.

SFAC’s beach Volleyball RI takes place on the beautiful Scarborough beach with its large waves and silky soft sand. The half mile beach features several public amenities including a lifeguard tower, restrooms, picnic areas and many others so you can relax and have a good time on the sand or in the water once you have (hopefully) won your volleyball match. Surfing lessons, aerobics and yoga classes, kite festivals and triathlons and other exciting events can also be found here. Scarborough beach has clean sand and a medium undertow, making it ideal for sun bathing or surfing after your big volleyball match.

Super Fun Activities Club’s sports leagues are comprised of coworkers, friends, strangers and everything in between.  Some teams sign up as a whole unit.  Other social sports teams in our Providence leagues are formed from individuals looking to meet new friends.  Looking for something fun to do with your coworkers to do outside of the work environment?  Signing up for a volleyball RI league is great idea!  Teams are co-ed, and games like dodgeball, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, kickball and flag football are offered throughout the year.  Haven’t learned enough about flag football in Providence?  Join our event invitation list to stay up to date on the most fun social sports in Providence!!
